Elba Island “Teseo Tesei” Airport (ICAO code: LIRJ) located in the area of Marina di Campo is a civil airport serving the Elba Island in Tuscany Region. The airport It’s open both to the commercial and general aviation aircraft but the scheduled flight are only in summer season. The airport handled 17,009 passengers in 2015 and runs both regular and charter flights from and to mainland Italy and other European Countries like Switzerland and Germany. TE2C has been providing its consultancy and engineering services to Elba airport since 2009 and we point out:
- Strengthening of air side flight infrastructure .
- Installation of PAPI runway 34 .
- Runway, taxiways and apron pavements requalification.
- Runway enlargement from 23 m to 30 m in anticipation of future upgrades.
- Realization of new runway shulders.
- Reshape and requalification of back-trak aerea threshold 34.
