Importo dei lavori: 2020 - 2023
The intervention falls within the GREECE-ITALY 2014/2020 Program – SWAN PROJECT “Enhancing Regional Transportation Through Sustainable Water Aerodrome Network” for the construction of permanent hydrosurfaces for seaplane connections between the ports of Puglia and Greece.
The planned intervention in the area called Calata 1 of the Port of Taranto involves the construction of a small passenger terminal housing a small ticket office, a bar, a waiting room and a toilet.
This artifact, to guarantee the specifications required by the Client, will have characteristics of removability, recyclability, and sustainability and for this reason it was designed through the modification of maritime containers modified into residential/commercial modules.
In front of this terminal there is a platform/terrace to enjoy the view of the seaplanes and from which it is possible to access the seaplane docks.
The take-off and landing area has had a careful study based on the prevailing winds, wave conditions, land and sea obstacles and specific conditions of the port of Taranto.
This area has been planned parallel to the old city of Taranto with orientation 12-30 of length 900x120m.
The intervention also provides for the opening of a new passage equipped with a motorized sliding gate on the wall on via Porto Mercantile to guarantee access to the area.
